Gazelles

Jump!

Graceful gazelles are known for being able to run at extremely high speeds. This is an important skill to possess when lions and cheetahs are in fast pursuit, hoping to make them dinner. Gazelles are also known to jump high into the air in a behavior called pronking or stotting. This exciting volume will explain the reason why gazelles do this and how they survive in a world full of predators.

Series review: Jump!

"Each of these books focuses on an animal that jumps,
and introduces all necessary facts about this animal or animal group. Each
volume has chapters specific to that animal, as well as all having chapters with
general facts such as eating habits. Colorful and filled with photographs, these
works can be read aloud to younger children or used for independent reading by
older students. The books can be used to introduce animals in elementary school,
and provide guidance on how to study animals for individual
research."
